Now booking for Summer 2020 term of Beginner's silver jewellery making classes, taking students on a project-based journey through some of the techniques involved in crafting jewellery by hand, building on previously explored skills as we progress and Improver's silver jewellery making classes which are a mixture of set projects, demonstrations of new techniques and students exploring and working through their own designs. The dates for the 10 week courses are

Diamond and Pearl day - Sunday 28 June
A one-day course looking at natural diamond formation, history of cutting and polishing, grading and imitation stones as well as looking at synthetic diamonds. The second part of the day will look at the interesting world of pearls, including how they are formed and farmed. Suitable for those who have been to the one day introduction course or those who are approaching the subject for the first time.

More in depth gemmology days are currently being developed which will follow on from the Introduction days for those like myself who are obsessed with gems! They will explore some of the different species and their associated varieties as well as proving more opportunities to study the stones using gemmological instruments. Please

Oxfordshire Arts - East Hendred
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Earring workshop. A day to explore this amazing material in a stunning new ceramics studio. If you have heard about PMC and have always wanted to try working with it, this is the day for you as the day is suitable for both beginners and those who have worked with the material before. We will look at making both stud and drop earrings, learning how to make our own earring hooks too. - POSTPONED
